We are seeking experienced heavy equipment operators to join our dynamic team for our fly-in and fly-out opportunities. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating heavy equipment, primarily Haul Trucks, in our open pit mine. Responsibilities
- Operate a Haul Truck or other heavy equipment in an open pit mine.
- Operating assigned heavy equipment safely and in an efficient manner.
- Understanding and adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards.
- Participating in all safety and culture-building programs.
- Training on new equipment when requested.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with 3 years drivers abstract required. Minimum of 2000 hours of work experience operating a 773 or larger Haul Truck or Articulating Truck.
- Diverse Heavy Equipment experience is considered an asset, including any combination of Dozer, Excavator, Grader and
- Articulating Truck experience
- Open-pit mining experience is considered an asset.
- High school diploma and/or post-secondary degree is considered an asset.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
