Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Assemble components and systems according to specifications.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and services on vehicles.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs needed and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
- Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic is preferred, especially in a dealership setting.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Experience with heavy lifting is beneficial for handling various vehicle components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
