Automotive Technician:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of European and domestic vehicles.
Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex vehicle issues
· Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle systems, including engine, mechanical, electrical, and safety components
· Utilize specialized equipment, such as scanners and multimeters, to diagnose and repair vehicle computer and electrical systems
· Perform routine maintenance procedures to ensure maximum vehicle performance and longevity
· Verify completed work through test drives and advise on additional repairs or calibrations required
· Comply with regulatory protocols, including AMVIC guidelines
· Maintain shop equipment, supplies, and perform preventative maintenance task
Requirements:
· Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license with a clean driving record
· Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission-equipped vehicles
· Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
· Ability to lift to 80 lbs
· Proficient communication skills, with the ability to speak and write fluent English
· Ability to provide detailed information to service writers
Preferred Qualifications:
· Red Seal certification or equivalent experience
· Has 5-10 years experience working with European and domestic vehicles
· Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including transmission, driveline, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems
